I hope that Democrats realize what’s happening in Minnesota is also a dry run for what the regime has planned for the midterms.

I'm strongly pro 2A, and this has been on my mind a lot. If 'shoot to kill' is your first thought, you shouldn't own a firearm.

The problem isn't that they 'lack training'. The problem is they want to kill with impunity.
Think about how although Pretti was a gunowner, when he saw someone being attacked his first response wasn't to use the gun but to help them up and ask them if they're ok.

It wasn't even on his mind that a gun would be useful.

Compare that to the paranoia of rightwing gun culture.

Over/under on how long until they pop their masks on and start gassing?

Maybe I'm wrong. I'm open to being wrong. Shit, I'd LOVE to be wrong. But I don't buy this feel good for one goddamn second. Fool me once...
Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

Keep an eye on who of your supposed representatives show up.

@julianastratton.bsky.social
@ramirez.house.gov
are both there, on the ground, with us, the people.

Where is @govpritzker.illinois.gov ? Where is @congressmanraja.bsky.social ? I guess the doors on their ivory towers are frozen shut?
Good afternoon from downtown Chicago, where despite heavy snowfall, thousands have gathered for an anti-ICE/CBP demonstration in solidarity with the Twin Cities. More are still streaming in.

Lt. Illinois Gov. Juliana Stratton just addressed the crowd, and called for ICE to be abolished.

Raja Krishnamoorthi accepted over $90k from key MAGA players, including:
- $29,300 from Shyam Sankar, Chief Technology Officer at Palantir and advisor to the Defense Department under Trump.
- $5,000 from Michael Pillsbury, Project 2025 contributor and senior advisor at the Heritage Foundation.
I am horrified by what happened in Minneapolis. Another civilian shot in the street by Trump’s DHS. This is beyond unacceptable. I will continue to oppose ICE funding and to fight for real accountability as we see federal agents repeatedly use deadly force without consequences.

Fucking do something about it, then, billionaire governor with literally nothing to lose by doing something other than writing angy boi posts all day.
Donald Trump’s agents are untrained, unqualified, unprofessional, and dangerous.

It’s time for them to stop their assault on American cities.

Witnesses are being kidnapped.

I scream AGAIN:
BLUR BYSTANDER FACES. LICENSE PLATES. ANY IDENTIFIERS. DO NOT RAT ON YOUR COMRADES AND DO NOT BE A CLASS TRAITOR, EVEN BY ACCIDENT.
Witnesses are being taken to Whipple.

From a lawyer friend: “They’re trying to keep local PD and BCA from getting statements and confiscating any phones with video.”

there are so many gutting stories, but this one is hitting me extra hard. just imagining wael tarabishi slowly dying without his dad there to care for him because he was jailed by ICE makes me…i don’t have words. this country is disgusting.
Disabled son of ICE detainee dies after 30 days of hospitalization
It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

CHICAGO, rise the fuck up!

'Oh it's cold outsi-'
Know what else is cold? The fucking morgue, and that's where we're all headed if we don't DEMAND, not ask, not beg, but DEMAND abolition.

Your elected officials are servants of the public, they're supposed to work for YOU.

MAKE THEM.

The people who'll tell you today's murder victim in Minnesota shouldn't have turned up to a protest carrying a gun are the same people who said Kyle Rittenhouse was perfectly entitled to do the same thing.
January 24, 2026 at 5:58 PM
Yeah let's give them more training, that's gonna solve it! They can still execute people, but they'll look better and be faster! That's the solution, Governor M(o)ore Money For ICE cracked the code!
Again and again, we see that ICE lacks accountability and agents lack training for the operations they’re being sent on.

This reckless pattern of violence carried out by the Department of Homeland Security is endangering our communities. Not protecting them. This must stop.

People already working hard to prove how perfect Alex Pretti was. To show he didn't "deserve" to be killed. But it's a trap folks. You're only feeding into a dynamic where people who are considered lesser get no protection. You don't have to be an Alex Pretti to deserve to live.
January 24, 2026 at 8:17 PM
We fucking warned people back then, and were killed and beaten for it.

So hey, libs? Fucking cope. You had a chance to stop this, and you decided that executing Black people was fine. Now that they're killing white people too, you're mad?

Damn. That sucks. Welcome to the shitshow, buckle up.
At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

I look forward to the day I step outside and hear the creak of a branch straining, and look up to see the corpse of an ICE agent swinging in the wind, his flesh as rotten as his soul, his blood as frozen as his heart.

May death find every single one of them.
Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

White. Hot. Rage.
January 24, 2026 at 8:28 PM
Unconfirmed report that ICE just executed another person in MN.

CHICAGO, THIS IS COMING FOR US. WHAT ARE OUR OFFICIALS DOING ABOUT IT?? WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT??
January 24, 2026 at 4:29 PM
The longer he keeps ignoring ICE, the more my interest in him running for anything ever again wanes. His cops help ICE, he shrugs, and liberals cheer while we're being kidnapped and brutalized.

All that talk about 'you come for Illinoisans, you'll have to come through me 😡'... Yeah, it was talk.
Proud to announce this week the lineup for International Jazz Day 2026 held right here in Chicago!

Yesterday, I drove refugees that had been shipped off to Texas all the way back home to St. Paul

Seeing them reunite with their families reminded me this is their home.

So keep sending them to Texas. I’ll keep driving ‘em back and introducing them to Bucc-ee’s and KC barbecue along the way.
