Not sure how I whiffed on a Malcolm Catto LP last year, but I did. Sick fuzzy, psychedelic funk with Catto getting super naaasty on the drums and Little Barrie shredding guitar. Record's a must-spin for the drumming alone, but the total package is a killer road trip record. tidal.com/album/429410...

The latest Author & Punisher LP slays. Crazy heavy, apocalyptic, industrial sludge mixed at skull-crushing levels by Will Putney. Apparently many of the melodies and rhythms were inspired by various bird calls. It was on my year-end list, but it deserves a signal boost. tidal.com/album/445734...
