Trey Yesavage struck out 12 batters and walked none in seven innings of one-run ball in Game 5 of the freakin' World Series.

He also generated 23 whiffs tonight, the most by any pitcher in the World Series in the pitch-tracking era (since 2008).

Here are his dozen strikeouts against the Dodgers.

Heads up: it's gonna rain like crazy in Southern California for the next few days, and everyone you know who lives here is gonna be insufferable about it.

A fun way to get through it is with a bingo card. Two things to get you started: "We need this" and "NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE IN THE RAIN."

Angels GM Perry Minasian told reporters that the club wants to add multiple starting pitchers, a 2B, 3B and CF, a left-handed hitter and relief help.

None of that is particularly surprising but that speaks to the issues the current roster has.

Maybe Kyle Tucker is the big-time free agent the Blue Jays are finally able to land?

Not sure I had Toronto in the mix for him but this is an interesting development.

Desperately need more details to emerge from this (also need Jack Hughes to simply stop getting hurt).
NEWS: Jack Hughes suffered a non-hockey injury to his hand, the New Jersey Devils announced Friday.

According to a team source, Hughes was injured in a freak accident at a team dinner.

It’s very cool to see @schiff.senate.gov capitulate to fascists at every opportunity he gets. His track record under Trump 2.0 has been absolutely brutal.

Just an embarrassing representative of California all the way around.

This didn’t get crazy coverage yesterday w/ the MVP awards but Corbin Carroll and Pete-Crow Armstrong joined Team USA for the 2026 WBC.

If the NYT told the story of the homeless teenager exploited by Matt Gaetz with even half as much empathy as it tells the story of Olivia Nuzzi, it would be in danger of committing journalism.

The Anaheim Ducks are giving these Ducks clogs away on the Nov. 22 game against Vegas and I’ve gotta say these are pretty sweet.

Just thinking about the fact that Shohei Ohtani very well could have won five straight MVP awards had Aaron Judge hit like 55 home runs in 2022 instead of 62.

I guess four MVPs in five years ain’t bad though.

Ducks equalize. Great chop out of the zone by Beckett Sennecke and push up ice. The rookie doesn't take the shot, tries to dangle through the defenseman, but luckily Cutter Gauthier is there for the swift finish.

Local(ish) kid scores in his 100th NHL game. 1-1. #FlyTogether

That’s a dozen goals for Cutter Gauthier, tied for the second-most in the NHL and only trailing Nathan MacKinnon.

Dude’s been awesome.

The Judge/Raleigh voting breakdown is just about what I would have expected. What a race.
Aaron Judge won his third MVP. It was really close. He's the 13th player in history with three MVPs. Cody Bellinger got a few down ballot votes.
