Hi! Just a quick note to (potential) followers. I don't really post much. I mostly repost and comment on others' threads, so don't expect a lot of novel content from me. Otherwise, welcome!

I guess I need to add that pundits have to get out of a normal democracy mindset too.

It’s been a decade of democratic backsliding, and nearly a year of rapid descent. Writing as if it’s 2013 or 1995 is out of touch. Either ”I have my head in the sand” or “I like this but won’t say so directly.”

By folding in the government shutdown in exchange for virtually nothing, eight Democratic senators aid Trump's authoritarian takeover rather than oppose it

The Democrats in the Senate who handed the GOP a lifeline with the shutdown cave in stopped a massive Trump cave in that would have happened sooner rather than later. With the busiest flying season approaching, Trump desperately needed a deal. Sadly Democrats gave it to him.

If the war ends it will be clear Russia didn't win, the economy will crash when turing back to civilian needs, and the brutalized soldiers will come home to form violent gangs to rupture society. No peace will ever come from the Russians. It will have to be created after Russia's defeat.
He can’t agree to a deal because he cannot put enough lipstick on this pig of a disaster he created to sell to his people.
It’s bizarre how Russians treat failure as patriotic.

Four years, over a million casualties, and none of the invasion’s original goals achieved, yet, the simps still beg and hope they can take Pokrovsk, while the bunker midget drives their economy straight into the gutter.

Truly bizarre.

After the idiotic cave by these eight self-described “Senate moderate Democrats,” it is about time to ban that phrase. The term for those who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory is “weak Democrats” or “useless Democrats” or simply “defeatists.” open.substack.com/pub/contrari...

On Veterans Day, I remember stories from the American cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach. Like the wife/mother whom the same officer visited twice within 45 minutes with telegrams about her husband & her son.

And I remember every damn thing Trump has said about those who served.

I hope soldiers do.

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

With all due respect, you're not going to get past "internal recriminations" unless and until the current congressional leadership steps aside.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.
