Yet Davis Cup bans Russia and Belarus from competition due to the war on Ukraine. Despite being wildly unpopular (hence closed door match to avoid popular protest) Canada continues to shield Israeli genocide and apartheid from accountability.
The Davis Cup tie between Canada and Israel is now going to take place behind closed doors per Mossad request.
However, thanks to the collaborationism of the CBC, it will still be available to view.
The CBC is just as culpable as Tennis Canada for this sportswashing depravity.

Au contraire. Fewer provinces would be better. NS, NB, & PEI should be one.
On a related note, Canada should have more provinces.
Obviously, we don't have the ridiculous electoral college system the US uses, but Canada's provincial gov'ts from Quebec west don't adequately represent all areas of their provinces.
We need provinces the size of New Brunswick.

i really think the only reason we haven't created new states — which was a common political tactic in the 19th century, see nevada and the dakotas — is that 50 is a round number

On this day in 1873, Prince Edward Island joined Canada. The island looked at becoming its own Dominion and joining the United States. In the end, the province agreed to join Canada in exchange for Canada assuming the island's railway debts and buying out of absentee landowners.
