My previous neighbors spent lots of time/money having four large trees removed from their yard, and the new neighbors who just moved in rolled up this morning with a crew of landscapers to plant four new trees in that same yard. There's a joke/metaphor in there somewhere.

We're going to be in movement for the rest of our lives, there's a world to win & so much between us and freedom. How do we make struggle sustainable? So ask yourself, what is the best use of my skills and resources. Limit yourself to that work, because you can't be everywhere.

This bill would be a huge deal for me and many of my neighbors. Local pals, please voice your support for transit equity via Massachusetts House Bill H.3638!
No matter where you live in Boston, your fare on the Commuter Rail should be the same. Join us in supporting the Fare Equity bill before the State Legislature.

What Robert Redford contributed to American films via Sundance is genuinely immeasurable. He was also an extraordinarily talented director--Ordinary People and Quiz Show are two of the best American studio movies of their eras--and an actor who somehow wore his incredible charisma almost shyly. RIP.

Very sad for Robert Redford’s family and friends, but scrolling through all the posts with old photos of one of the hottest men to ever grace the screen is a real consolation for the rest of us.

In line for the Rilo Kiley show (eeee!), which is right next to the My Chemical Romance show, and it is a real battle of the vibes situation out here.

Bad film: Atrocious, indefensible, schlock.

Bad film, but you first watched it with your best friend when you were 15: Hidden gem, awful but in a good way, actually kinda smart if you think about it.

Husband started reading The Hobbit with the older kiddo this week and they’re currently at the Gollum chapter. I can hear him doing the voices and she is clearly *locked in* and I’m pretty sure this is his nerdy fatherhood dream perfectly realized, it’s very cute.
