Christian Nationalists co-opt what is sacred, twisting it to serve profane political power. They misuse the Bible, baptism, and communion.

So it’s no surprise to see a theological declaration like “Christ is King” also being used not to lift up Christ but to advance racist, antisemitic politics.
Christ the Christian Nationalist Sunday?
On Thursday, the Michigan House of Representatives passed a resolution to officially declare Nov. 23 as “Christ the King Sunday” in the Mitten State.

Trump and Republicans went to court to try to steal food assistance form 42 million people ahead of the holidays.

Do not forget this.
BREAKING: A *separate* federal court in Rhode Island just ordered the Trump admin to pay for SNAP benefits during the shutdown — saying the government "must distribute" aid using emergency funds and that the benefits should be paid as soon as possible.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee advanced a series of State Department policy bills that would lock in parts of the Trump administration’s cuts to the agency, including a diminished role for the already struggling foreign aid arm of USAID.
How a State Department oversight bill became a partisan food fight
The House Foreign Affairs Committee began what many saw as a good-faith bipartisan effort on State Department oversight. It ended badly.

With worship music, the Christian singers sought to whitewash Kirk and make his political views equivalent to what it means to follow Jesus.

That’s what Christian Nationalism does. It takes Christian language, symbols, and songs to put a holy veneer on top of a profane political agenda.
