Important. Especially for people in the U.K., where we consider swearing a highly-evolved artform.
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Come and say hello if you’re at Crash Live next weekend. You can even ask me some questions on Sunday morning if you like.

Whether I can still remember anything from working on the ZX Spectrum nearly 40 years ago is another matter.
Crash Live 2025 is in 10 days! Here's the guest line up for the whole weekend:-

Odd how after he was called out and before he nuked his channel, it suddenly wasn't getting hundreds of new subscribers every few minutes any more.

'Virtual James' (James King) has deleted his retrogaming YouTube channel and, seemingly, all of his social media presence.
Had a notification. Typed reply. Account gone again.

If you have your wronged YouTuber bingo cards to hand, congratulations you have a full house.

Yesterday I tried to get answers from YouTube user @VirtualJamesKing on why their channel mysteriously gained tens of thousands of subscribers over the past few months but had very low view rates.
James replied, stating he too was mystified. @chinnyvision.bsky.social quizzed him further.
Today...
Double down.
Fail.
Delete account due to trolls and haters.

Over 1000 have been added since the yesterday's screenshot, but after this afternoon, I suspect this number will 'magically' plateau (at least temporarily).

IYKYK.

I wonder if @jk2447.bsky.social would like to comment on the huge discrepancy on his retrogaming YouTube channel's subscriber growth and the actual hours watched. It does seem like a 'bought audience', if you know what I mean.

Over to you, James, if you'd like to tell us what's going on.

Tell me this twat isn't buying subs and views.

Chinnyvision almost doing the same amount of watch hours in the same period on a fraction of the views.

Because bots only watch for 5 seconds

Some Your Sinclair cover artwork was pretty good, so I picked one at random to 'replace' the game's original inlay. Um, well, this one wasn't a good example, I think the original wins out.

Can anyone help?
Bartop arcades - I'd like to get one (Arcade Geeks seem to have good options). But how can I edit the games collection on them? Do any of them run on a Raspberry Pi and memory card? Or similar?

There are a number of ZX Spectrum games rated 95%-99% by games magazines. Less than 100, and I've catalogued them all here...

Molecule Man? Dear me. I reviewed the C64 and C16 ones recently, as did one of the fellow Mastertronic Collectors Archive reviewers for the Spectrum version.

Following on from a look at the Spectrum magazines that flung out "10/10" ratings in questionable circumstances, I delved into the "5/5" ratings. Again, Sinclair User is flinging them out... at things like Jail Break and Molecule Man!

I hate it when someone posts a spoiler.
Is it because it was fucking shit?

Why was Sinclair User so heavily generous with its '10/10' ratings compared to all the other ZX Spectrum mags? I've done some research...
