One thing we need to really focus on: young children are being taught that evil is admirable. That the reason to serve in government is to rise to power to be able to serve your worse impulses. That killing and rape and hurting others is strength.

It should, but they won't suddenly start to engage with their cognitive dissonance now. They had ample opportunity reject these people, who are openly evil. The personal nature of these atrocities is revolting, but consistent with their policies and actions.
