I wanna see the housing AI is going to build.

So I can have a good laugh.
Poor Mark Carney, working so hard to make corporations and oil execs rich so that their money can eventually trickle down to the rest of us. Why are the peasants so ungrateful?? Perhaps AI can make corporations and oil execs rich faster? Get Evan Solomon on that! It’s generational investment, poors!

<Sad face>
But it's not all about speed.
There's something to be said for comfort and reliability. Hopefully all the new LRTs will have both.
The TTC has published the schedule for 6 Finch West, and the travel times/speeds are not impressive compared to the existing bus service. stevemunro.ca/2025/11/28/6...

it's pretty incredible we are exempting construction sales tax on office to residential rehabs (not a great deal for downtown) - but not affordable housing, or community-led development like cohousing, coops, baugruppen, CLTs

This idea keeps popping up. This one in a suburb of Toronto. Basically the city is operating a cab service. Neither cabs nor Uber nor This will not solve suburban sprawl.

Someone is waxing poetic about metallurgy today.
Go for it, I say.
The story of metallurgy is the story of humanity and it was all a hack for most of it. These things you hold, these things you trust as cheap and disposable – are miracles.

That is the story of so much of your life. These things people hold because they're cheap, but never understand the price of.

We all kinda feel like we've been hoodwinked. Like this was not supposed to happen in this day and age.
I’ve got an article out in the Star today about the Thomas King issue:
Thomas King’s admission he isn’t Indigenous is just the first step. This is what has to happen next

It really has been interesting the last while to see Doug Ford's outbursts. The true Ford. From "get a job" to "audit orgs that might support left wing causes". The authoritarian belligerent bully that had no staff to muzzle him in City Hall days is still there. Does Ontario see? Do they care?

I keep saying that Doug Ford is the luckiest man in politics because everyone *knows* he’s a weasel but there’s always someone worse (mostly Trump) so Doug is the devil we know and keeps skating by (with some media help, of course). I’ll promote the NDP and get told they’re “too great a risk” 😐

I drove across the top of Toronto Sunday morning and didn't get up to the speed limit until I got past the airport because the 401 was FULL on a Sunday morning. Crazy.
If I could have taken transit from home in SE Toronto to Milton, I would have done that gladly.
