I've been thinking about this more frequently with what has been happening in Rojava and Sudan rn. Internationalist solidarity requires a principled mental investment in other people's struggles and their history. Interventionalist mindsets stop and end at CNN and Vice articles.
If Americans want international solidarity in our own struggles, we have to be in international solidarity with others in their struggles. It's time for us to care about the world & stop thinking we're the only people in it that matter.

There seems to be disagreement about whether the ceasefire in Rojava has ended, and HTS may be preparing for an attack on Hassakah, but I've not seen reports of any major fighting yet.
