The heavy snow across New England yesterday gave me a chance to get out the old gravel driveway relocator.

Not saying anything negative about Magnus here, this video is a great example of how genAI is eroding our trust in sources, not just because some stuff is false, but because of the shear cognitive load of having to deeply inspect everything for hints it may be false.
Here's the full video. The giveaways are in the background.
-The light hitting the floor is unnatural
-You can see the building through the window shift position.
-The architecture of the room is not real
-Surge protectors are plugged into nothing.
-No one has a face.

Is it a good sign or a bad sign when the weather forecast is "undefined"?

It's annoying to see the hand-wringing over a small number of wealthy people making empty threats to move because of tax increases, when there are actually people leaving desirable places en masse because they can't find affordable places to live

If only there was a better way to ensure all sidewalks got consistently cleared across the whole city reliably each storm 🤔
Help your neighbors get around safely! In Boston, property owners must clear adjacent sidewalks after it snows.

Apparently one of the non-listed but key features of this rolling tablet/tv all-in-one display and stand on B&H is that the bottom (which contains batteries and therefore likely warms up) is a favorite place for cats to nap.

I agree with support for intercity busses in theory, but as someone who physically doesn't fit on most coach busses (my leg length barely clears seat pitch on most *and* my shoulders and elbows sit well into the seat next to me) I definitely will opt for the equivalent train route anytime I can.

I'm honestly quite surprised to find myself agreeing with an Amazon executive about AI, even if just for one very narrow statement.
The head of Amazon Web Services has big plans to offer AI tools to businesses but says that replacing coders with AI is “a nonstarter for anyone who’s trying to build a long-term company.”

Trying to help a friend from out of town get to Springfield after a visit to Boston. There's a great train, but of course e because he's booking last minute it's fully sold out. Increase Boston-Albany capacity now!
All of the seat tags I can read from my seat are for Albany. LSL is constant proof of the demand for rail service between Boston and Albany, and taking up seats on a long-distance train to Chicago isn't the right solution. We need regional/commuter service across MA now!
Amtrak Lake Shore Limited train service between BOS and ALB is back!

Unfortunately "worship" is a huge sub-category in the entertainment industry, and while many good entertainment venues and productions are struggling to get their hands of light/sound/video/rigging equipment, these "churches" can buy up staff and equipment at this scale.

Remember that promise a decade ago that "driverless cars are about to completely change the rideshare economy since we won't have to pay drivers"…
Looking at prices for a 1.5 mile rideshare trip today in San Francisco:

Uber: $10.40
Lyft: $10.93
Waymo: $35.58

I'm going to build the largest ship the world has ever seen and here you can see my proof of concept: an old yogurt container I threw in a pond that's just bobbing around
Lmao launching one (1) GPU into space is not a proof of concept of building a data center in space. This is vanity littering as market propaganda.

It's very entertaining the number of spam messages I get asking me to share my upwork account so off shore programmers can work under my name, supposedly because their own accounts have been suspended, especially given that I too am suspended from upwork.
