The 7y/o and I just finished playing Rainbow Billy: The Curse of the Leviathan. I highly recommend playing it with your kid! The game worked in so many different forms of conflict resolution while Billy worked through complicated relationships with friends, family members and themself. 1/

I was a teen when the HPV vaccine came out, and I told my doctor at my next appointment that I wanted to get it and he looked at me like I was crazy and said something like, “HPV doesn’t really affect men,” and didn’t prescribe it to me. (I have gotten it since then).

I was a teen when the HPV vaccine came out, and I told my doctor at my next appointment that I wanted to get it and he looked at me like I was crazy and said something like, “HPV doesn’t really affect men,” and didn’t prescribe it to me. (I have gotten it since then).

Few things are more terrifying than showing your kid a PG movie from the 80s that you only vaguely remember. Will there be casual misogyny? Homophobic jokes? Fat jokes? I guess we’re finding out together. Wish me luck.

For a few hours yesterday, the Kraken were tied for 1st in their division while having a -1 goal differential. Only 2 teams have scored fewer goals, but only 3 teams have allowed fewer goals. Really interesting team. Defense is great, and they somehow keep scoring at the right time to avoid losing.

Question for communicable disease experts: Can you catch a cold from your child coughing directly into your face multiple times over a prolonged period? And as a follow-up, is it safe to eat the rest of this bowl of goldfish crackers that she’s been coughing on? Thanks in advance for your advice.

It's amazing how Bjork's album Post still sounds like music of the future even though it is 30 years old. Like, if there were some alternate universe in which Bjork was born 30 years later and this album just came out today, I'd be like, Holy shit, what a fresh sound I love this.
