🧵In my expert opinion as a researcher of vehicle ramming attacks, what has been publicly described in the video evidence does not support the claim that Renee Nicole Good was attempting a deliberate ramming attack when she was shot in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026. 1/7

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
- George Orwell, 1984
Sen. Lankford blatantly lies about what the video of Renee Good's killing shows: "A classic law enforcement moment -- they have to fire their weapon and then when you see her car crash, law enforcement is running to her to provide aid. They're never looking to be able to take a life of individuals."

I would argue this is both true and a succinct message democrats might consider employing constantly

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

While there are signs that the state’s chronic fiscal challenges are reemerging and likely to be exacerbated by federal policy changes enacted by the Trump administration, it appears the graduated income tax will also be off the table, at least in 2026. https://to.wttw.com/4bj6Pb6
Despite Mounting Budget Pressure, an Illinois Graduated Income Tax Remains Political Longshot
Gov. JB Pritzker and Democrats who control the state legislature have mostly shied away from renewing their graduated income tax push — all while managing to balance the books under the existing tax s...

What a sad story. Washington DC is also shutting down a line this year: the DC Streetcar on H St NE. Both the streetcar and the Northstar suffered from poor design, inadequate service, and failure to complete extensions that would have made them much more useful.
Today, Minneapolis's Northstar Line is shutting down permanently. This video is the one time I rode it - three years ago - along with a discussion of its less-than-ideal bus replacements. youtu.be/XwtyJYZqi6U
