Assembly Match now has a 25 level campaign mode that is fully tutorialized along with a freeplay mode. (the freeplay mode is the last level of the campaign mode, natch). Also [feature list squished], and more parts for better factories!

One thing that was striking about Seedance is that it can take reference footage and maintain stylistic markers. I expect that in the future granular control and editing over neural rendering will become easier.

I still think the internet is the best comp for AI. It was a bubble that popped, but the underlying tech turned out to be real. It enabled a bunch of psychosis and slop, but also some genuinely cool stuff. Massive labor market disruptions, but employment levels look about the same.

regardless of your opinions on ais as a whole i think "getting humans to show up to clean up a trash-filled park in nyc or san francisco" is, we can hopefully all agree, a pretty values-positive thing to be aiming towards. i might even show up myself because <location> to nyc is not THAT far
I'm often an AI complainer but here's something I do think is cool. Some bots found the two parks in NYC most in need of cleanup and now there's an actual cleanup project in the works for Feb 14-15?! They're looking for volunteers if you're in the area

i will probably be there with a couple of people in tow, however, the world's most neurotic antfarm (i say this with love) still needs people to help w/ san francisco. any sort of outreach/reposting/sharing would be appreciated by the village, as much as robot appreciation matters to you or not. :)
