The deep snow is punchy now & difficult to walk through. So all the wildlife is using the trails in my yard that Kieran already created, then crossing over the frozen pond rather than the yards.

Need an emergency last minute handler for Midnight Run!!!
My handler may need to back out last second for health issues (TOTALLY VALID) but I can't do the race without a handler. If you drive yourself to Marquette, I need you Feb 13-14. If you ride with me, Feb 12-15. (Continued in thread)

In case any #uglyDogs were going to travel to Minnesota for the Klondike Dog Derby, it was just moved from Feb 12-13 and is now scheduled for March 6-7.
Note that this conflicts with the start of Iditarod, which I know some of you also travel for.

Today's shut down to protest ICE is good! And. I'm fucking irritated by folks yelling at known leftist spaces that stayed open to provide heat & device charging for their neighbors in the deep cold*. Don't fuck over 1 to help another!

Wild weather swings every couple days is the Great Lakes norm, so I'm overstimulated but bored in this long steady deep freeze. Wdym I just have to suffocate in my warmest layers all day everyday for 2+ weeks? And be stuck in the 2 rooms upstairs that I can keep warm? CHANGE, WEATHER! 😵💫
