Easy-Going, Nice Guy, Great Wife, Makes A Point 🍞🌹⚾🎶🍺📚🗺
It's funny, my parents are in Jalisco (where the series is being played) now and I told my dad he should tune in. Apparently it's not on local tv (with cable) and both MLB Network and ESPN Deportes+ ate blocked so I can watch in Chicago and he can't in Puerto Vallarta, lol.

Mexico (Verde) vs Mexico (Roja) tonight has been the best Caribbean Series game so far. On MLB Network now!

I'll never forget finding out in early March after the winter that one of my living room windows had been cracked like an 1/8th of an inch at the top. Thank God we had aggressive steam heat and we didn't pay for it.

"dark star" is obviously my "dark star" but in another equally accurate way "the diamond sea" is also my "dark star"
"That’s how Sonic Youth found themselves in Memphis, Tennessee during the first half of 1995, reeling, grieving and asking themselves where they could go next. Washing Machine is the answer, and it is one of their very greatest records."

Absolutely, he was a complete athlete, also drafted by the Clippers! But I think it makes sense that ppl who liked pre-steroids ball focus on stuff you that's vanishingly rare in the TTO era.

Your points on Arrez's value are fair but there's more to fandom than raw value. Elite contact is a fun skill that fans enjoy, it's not a "disservice" to appreciate that, regardless of other factors

Landlords... they're not good, folks!
Remember that midnight raid in Chicago supposedly to arrest Tren del Aragua members? Newly revealed court docs show that the raid was facilitated by the building owners who are now accused of using the raid to evict tenants. DHS never mentions TDA in their filings: www.propublica.org/article/chic...

Zohran/socialism has a chance to change that narrative and let the left break free of the cage that capital built called the Democratic Party. You can welcome that project as the best chance to actually beat capital & their fascist thugs or you can keep fighting last war that Dems aren't that bad
February 4, 2026 at 6:29 PM
Look, I agree that the Democrats sometimes do good things. But I think it's also clear that the Democratic Party is also a structural barrier to the political change necessary to defeat the overlapping crises of the moment. It's also incredibly unpopular with the general public...

Pissing off the ultimate franchise vibes guy, Cutch to chase an abuser like Ozuna may make sense in pure baseball terms but also feels real dumb for a team as call callous towards its fans as Pittsburgh.
February 4, 2026 at 5:41 PM
Zohran and his team/movement didn't form from whole cloth in a vacuum completely disconnected from previous left/liberal politics but I think they represent a big change from those existing approaches and that's good and should be embraced bc the old status quo Dems are hugely unpopular!
February 4, 2026 at 5:37 PM
To me it's very weird that instead of embracing the idea that we can escape from the old politics everyone hated, you people are desperately trying to show that nothing's really changed and the old politics were good, actually. Strikes me as a big reason why the Democratic brand is still garbage.
February 4, 2026 at 5:35 PM
Ok, so we agree he's doing more than similar Dem mayors over a number of fronts, nice!
