Charlotte is way less left-coded, than LA/DC/Chicago/Portland. I feel like that could make the govt terror even more fraught for the average American.

another neighbor got abducted today, new gofundme about to drop. if you're in the NW side he was a server at Alps and they are donating 25% of sales this weekend to him. as for my prior neighbor who got abducted, his gofundme was a huge help to his family and will be used to bond him out imminently

outside of individual donations to gofundmes and such, one helpful destination for your money right now is this bond fund. everyone being released from broadview needs to pay $1500 bond, which is obviously insane. it's going to cost like $925k to successfully spring 615 people linktr.ee/mw_bondfund

This blows. Not only are we losing a 130-year-old church, but in return we're getting just four homes on a site that's almost half an acre and only a 10 min walk to the Blue line.

The underlying zoning is RS-3, and it's just a lot easier to build SFHs by right than contend with a rezoning.

Learning a knuckleball is the quad-A player's version of getting a dramatic haircut after a breakup
David Fletcher had one of the more memorably odd months in MLB history -- in May of 2024, it became public that he was being investigated for using the same illegal bookie as Ippei Mizuhara, the same month he abruptly transitioned as a 30-year-old at Triple-A, to pitching as a knuckleballer.

Courts ruling that pretty much everything the feds are doing here from interacting w/the public during abductions to protests after the abductions to the abductions themselves are illegal.
