I continue to believe that the fastest way to get Stephen Miller fired is to convince Trump that Miller's ICE operations are what cost him the Nobel Peace Prize.

The killing of Alex Pretti and the grotesque lying was an overreach by the administration. They've paid a price and had to pull back a bit. But it's when there's some disarray that the democratic opposition needs to intensify the offensive, and turn a marginal tactical success into a major victory.

Border Patrol is pulling out of Minneapolis. Bovino is ending his punitive tour of blue cities. Calls for Noem's resignation are mounting, even in conservative media. Senate Democrats are dug in now on refusing to fund DHS and ICE. "Abolish ICE" is now a mainstream position.

They are losing.

Great historical context for organizers on the ground.
There's been a lot of discussion about the echoes of the civil rights movement in the protests today, with people obviously drawing comparisons between the strategies, tactics and coalitions that were vital then and are still vital now.

But this post has me thinking about a different echo ...
I suspect right now Stephen Miller and the other nazis are meeting to discuss how a place not as “nice" or "peaceful” as Minnesota will provide better oxygen for their lies and goals of martial law.

if bovino is out and conservatives are turning on noem then there is a real opportunity to demand that miller resign too.

Remember the Bundy insanity during the Obama years? Armed guys occupied a federal office and one of their buddies took position with a sniper rifle aimed at federal agents?

Exactly how many of those guys were shot and killed?

Pretti stepped up for a woman who’d been assaulted. He exercised his rights in the face of actual tyranny, not from a podcast booth. He seemed moral and decent. His valor reminds pus stains like Patel, Berry, & Watters that their macho shtick is sad and hollow. *Of course* they celebrate his murder.

Dems should introduce legislation now defunding ICE and CBP operations in Minnesota, so they have to leave the state. One sentence bill. Demand an immediate vote. Maybe refuse to vote for cloture on any funding bills (or other bills) until a vote. Make the GOP Congress break w/ Trump or own it all.

Alex Pretti's crime was disagreeing with the politics of ICE leadership. Apparently, in their eyes, it is punishable by death.
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm loaded with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have the right to break the law and incite violence."

The killing happened about 15 hours ago. Since then:

- MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (FBI equivalent) got a warrant for the evidence on the scene
- Tried to execute it
- Were forcibly turned away by feds
- Filed for a temporary restraining order
- TRO granted by the federal district court

The state of Minnesota and its statewide law enforcement agency are asserting themselves against ICE and the federal government over investigating Alex Pretti’s killing.

Apparently learned from the aftermath of ICE killing Renee Good and the federal cover-up. More ready this time.
Minnesota's state FBI-like bureau is suing Noem. It says before pre-emptively declaring the killing righteous and abandoning the crime scene, feds took exclusive custody of evidence, including "apparently seized cellphones."

MN asserts a sovereign right to investigate crimes within its borders.

I'm so glad he had community members who were able to record the incident. Otherwise we'd have to rely on accounts from untruthful ICE leadership.

Even though I'm all the eay in Australia, I've lit a candle for Alex this evening. 🕯❤️🇺🇸

If the current Congress won't impeach and remove, we must elect those who will. Register to vote today! If your state had a Senate race, it is crucial you register. Don't delay. Channel your anger to the voting booth!
You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.
