I see people roll their eyes at sports all the time, mock them, mock people who enjoy them, etc. and it always makes me wonder if these same people hate art as well.

Because if you can’t see the artistry inherent in sports I question your ability to see it in anything.
Not liking spectator sport is one of the best life hacks going. Over a lifetime you'll end up with literally years of time to dedicate to whatever you want, compared to spending it being pointlessly obsessed with other people playing a game

If you truly believe this is appropriate behavior coming from the Attorney General of the United States, you’re simply not a serious person.
I still can’t believe that Pam Bondi deflected from answering questions on the Epstein files by yelling about the Dow. Truly mind boggling.

This is satire, right? Like that Italian guy who wrote the song that’s supposed to sound like English?

Yeah forget being abandoned or living on hosewater my biggest Gen X complaint: being forced to be born at a time where I could be newly politically sentient in 1996 and still around for…whatever the fuck this is.
I’m also thinking about the time Bill Clinton was impeached for - no, really, you won’t possibly believe what Bill Clinton was impeached for given <gestures at everything happening fifty times a day now>
For no particular reason I'm thinking about the time Bill Clinton admitted he smoked pot once in college and it was a month-long administration paralyzing scandal

virtually incomprehensible levels of white woman happening here
Carrie Prejean Boller, a former beauty queen, was dismissed from Donald Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission after drawing charges of anti-Semitism. But, she told @yair-rosenberg.bsky.social, she regrets nothing—and has no intention of disappearing without a fight:

The former beauty queen, dismissed from Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission, says it’s “anti-Christian” to accuse her of anti-Semitism.

Safety?? Why are Russian athletes allowed to compete in the first place??

Also, I’m sorry, but Zimbabwe? Colonizers gonna colonize.
International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry knows she fucked up and is crying, feel sorry for herself, playing the victim. FAFO.
This idiot supports reintegrating Russian athletes into the Olympic competitions as Russia wages a war of genocide on Ukraine.

Oh look, a scandal involving the President’s SIL exponentially more serious than any of the salacious media catnip the Republicans fed to credulous reporters in 2023-24.

I’m sure they’ll dig their teeth into this egregious national security violation and likely crime spree with equal abandon.
As we dig into this scandal, can we revisit the question about why the president's son-in-law, who has no formal role in this administration, keeps showing up at high-level negotiations with actual world leaders?
Breaking WSJ:

The highly classified whistleblower complaint against Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is related to a conversation intercepted last spring in which two foreign nationals discussed Jared Kushner, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

Imp. thread about our very legitimate and not fake Supreme Court that contains plausible speculation about which Republican in a wizard costume might take the place of Rapidly Ossifying Bigot Sam Alito.

Obviously there's nothing to be done abt any of this b/c we wouldn't want to violate any norms*

This person is, objectively, one of the most popular and influential people in the conservative movement and the Republican Party.
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

I covered congress in the Obama years. And I am certain if any Obama official had acted liked this at a hearing, multiple republicans would have walked directly to the floor, not even stopping at their office, to file articles of impeachment. They would talk about it for weeks. Months.
Rep. Massie: “Are you able to track who it was that obscured Les Wexner’s name as a co-conspirator?”

Bondi: “Within 40 minutes, Wexner's name was added back.”

Bondi: “This guy has Trump derangement syndrome. You're a failed politician.”

Yeah I’m just not going to let the barely-coherent ravings of this ignoramus “shake me to my core”
You can joke about Pam Bondi’s ridiculous unprofessionalism all you want, but I’m deeply shocked by it: She acts as if she fears absolutely no consequences, convinced that there will be no more political power transfers. — This should shake everyone to their core.
