While I prefer subs, there is no problem with dubbed anime and it all comes down to personal preference. Voice acting is voice acting.

Absolutely this. Adopting Euro and Japanese standards would also limit the sale of giant American pickups here -- the shift of US makers to behemoth pickups and SUVs was driven by US regulations that made the profit margin better on trucks. Plus we've been caught up in the Chicken Tax bullshit.
It seems pretty clear that if Carney is trying to reposition Canada in the global auto market, and especially to be a player in EVs as the US drags its feet, he’s going to need to think about recognizing or aligning with EU/JP auto safety standards.

Chinese brands are not expected in Canada until 2027, with the eventual goal of having them partner to build EVs in Canada.

Honorifics are important, even in dubs. We don't have real equivalents in English, and many times the honorifics used are important to demonstrate how characters view their inter-relationships, especially when it comes to diminuitives (-chan, -kun, etc).
