Expecting libraries and other services for the public god to “turn a profit” “or spend less to save money” is a sign that something has gone seriously wrong with the understanding of why these services exist!

Free workshops for chicago teens this month at different libraries! Extra dimensional embroidery. I made these little samples this weekend to help get their creative juices flowing and I am giddy. Still time to register.

Headed home from Nashville today. Got to see the second child play Robert’s for NYE and a show at Skinny Dennis last night. Spending the day cruising I-65N. Back to school for him and work work for me tomorrow. 8:15 AM virtual training for a KS school district.

Grateful to be a Louisianian of the Year finalist. I’d trade every accolade if our state and community leaders would stop working with extremists to undermine our libraries and start serving the people. I’ll keep fighting for free access to books, truth, and libraries across Louisiana. @la-cac.org
