The 2025 #TIME100NEXT list is out! I'm honored to be a part of this group: time.com/next @la-cac.org
Time to sit on the couch, snuggle with Juno Mars, and finish Die Hard with the fam, while ignoring the Christmas presents all over the living room and maybe getting a third slice of pie in a bit. Yippee-ki-yay. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Happy holidays from THE LIBRARIANS team! This year we’ve screened the film all over the globe & we are so thankful to YOU for coming out in droves to support our superheroes.

Moral of the story: Librarians know stuff and they get SHHH done. From our filmmaking team, librarians & library activists.

My ❤️ is full. This year stretched me: librarian, author, activist, mom, wife, friend. I traveled, spoke up for libraries, and helped build one in Kenya. My book earned out, got optioned, and I am in a documentary. I fought hard, won some battles, and learned a lot. I’m grateful. Here’s to ‘26.

Censorship can hit any community — show up for your next library board and school board meeting and speak up for your local librarians!!
This was a very timely screening for Tennesee librarians as they are currently facing audits within their youth collections as well as local attempts to pass bans on public library books. In the “last school year, at least 1,623 books were banned from Tennesee classrooms alone.” (-The Tennessean).
At a recent screening at Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN, The Tennessean stopped by to witness the “scoffs,” “gasps,” and “audible sniffers” from the audience as well as their thoughts on the film. “I feel like I just watched a horror movie based on a true story.”

Did I get my Christmas wish? Is Gov Kim Jong Landry leaving LA? He most certainly can’t be both our governor AND Special Trump Suck-up to Harass Greenland at the same time. Our state constitution forbids it. And why does he look like the Scooby Doo Mud Monster? www.fox8live.com/2025/12/22/t...

“A book ban is un-American for this simplest reason: it takes a decision that belongs in the private space that exists between a person and their conscience and turns it into a public act of control.”

Book bans create a nation of permission seekers instead of critical thinkers. It is not the role of the government to pre-decide the information and stories citizens are allowed to encounter.
