To those who think you could’ve handled my situation better, don’t hand me another opinion. Hand me your work. I accepted $1/apology because someone needed to break the cycle of retaliation. I won’t promote pain to prove a point. That’s not weakness. That’s choosing the long path toward justice. 1/3

Life can throw anything at us, but we only control our own choices. The past few years have tested me, teaching me accountability, strength, and staying true to my values.
I’m steering my soul with resilience and purpose. But haters be warned… I’m nobody’s fool, and we’re not done. #Invictus

Ryan Thames has issued a formal apology to me. This was never about $—it was about integrity. I’m grateful that the false statements have been publicly corrected and that the truth is now clear. I hope this outcome serves as a reminder that words carry weight and accountability matters. @la-cac.org

Yesterday @thelibrariansfilm.bsky.social screened in NOLA! Grateful to be a small part of it and honored to share it with you all. Huge thanks to Friends of the New Orleans Public Library for free admission—and to everyone who sent me pics!

Shout out to this man named Jason Reynolds who had to put up with all the librarians commenting on how he has the greatest name ever at our conference. 🤣 #AASL25

"We cannot be silent with this increasing militarization of our cities, the abuse of the Justice Department and] the dismantling of science. People need to speak out, and it's wonderful millions around the country are speaking out today," Schiff said in an interview.

I’ve said it before, but it’s worth saying again: Jason Reynolds is a genius of our time. Hearing him speak feels like what it must have been like to listen to Mozart in person or watch Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel. #AASL25

My silence would be my compliance and I will not be complicit.

I was raised on sermons of love. “Love thy neighbor” wasn’t just a verse. It was a promise, but when I lived it, the voices got quiet and the hands turned away. It’s heartbreak when the lesson means more to you than those who taught it. That’s why people turn away from Christianity: the hypocrisy.

If you are ever in the Charlotte area, you MUST stop at Cleary’s in Mount Holly, NC. They have the best curated selection of children’s and YA stock I’ve ever seen. Thank you to Cleary’s and my dear friend Faith Huff for a wonderful evening!

What a dream to speak at @parnassusbooks.bsky.social owned by THE Ann Patchett. I had a wonderful conversation with my friend Lindsey, who is a stellar librarian in Nashville. So thankful!
