One thing that comes through awfully clearly in these ICE videos is how many of these goons gravitated toward the job because being able to assault people with impunity is a big thrill for them.

LMAO he literally said your wife was an "affirmative action hire" because black women "do not have the brain processing power to be taken seriously" get a fucking grip
We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

Here are some things that Charlie Kirk said in his life.

The man is dead, and so it only seems fair to share his legacy by cataloguing the values he spread while alive.

a study showing the efficacy of progesterone for breast growth has finally come out perhaps some people can stop falsely accusing the rest of us of spreading medical misinformation just because they downplay the value of anecdotal evidence in the absence of such studies
Adding progesterone to gender-affirming hormone therapy improves breast growth for transgender people
The addition of the hormone progesterone to gender-affirming hormone therapy leads to increased breast growth for transgender people following feminising hormone therapy.

Something about this really makes me feel violated. It makes me feel forced to engage with technology I have serious ethical concerns with. I don’t know how to describe it. It just makes me want to throw up
YouTube is secretly using AI to edit people's videos

• Features like ears are being altered

• YouTube confirmed there's an 'experiment' on Shorts to 'unblur' and 'improve' clarity

• There's currently no way to opt out

I would suggest trans folk not on HRT and even allies do this.
It's not an immense amount of time or money.
You will learn a thing.
And you become sure doors can't be closed to you.
And you have some to help out a friend

every trans person should buy at least a few months DIY HRT. You don't even have to use it.
So if shit hits the fan you know you can. So that you have identified a person to buy from, worked through the processes, know the cost etc.
And you will have it for any reason like supply chain issues etc

If you're from a country with a weaker economy or difficult entry requirements into the US: do not spend money on GDC. Do not book a ticket. Do not book a hotel. Do not pay for a visa. Skip that cynical for-profit extortion, or the US will take your money & spit you out.

i have an enormous amount of respect for PCB fab workers. PCBs are ubiquitous and mostly invisible, but it takes a surprising and hard to understand amount of expertise to make them reliably at any scale and price, much less at the scale and price we're seeing

It turns out very rich people are so used to being told they're right that the machine that only says "yes, you're so smart" in statistically likely ways can easily trick them into believing it is as smart as they believe they are.
Putting aside many of the ways this is insanely embarassing and focusing on one mistake you'd maybe think this particular kind of person would not make:

surely a programmer on video games of all things would know better than to draw a conclusion like this about a program from its *output*?
