I can make gourmet meals from random ingredients at the back of the pantry.
Repost with your apocalypse skill:

I know a lot of buffy quotes so this will be useful for conserving the sum of human knowledge when the internet dies
been thinking about this for many years, and all I've got to offer is "significant source of protein"

I have a day off and was going to write, but instead I've reversed my car into my neighbour's trailer and now have to deal with insurance and repairs.

This doc is one of THE BEST for querying authors (or anyone really trying to get their word count under control).

USE IT

#WriteSky
#writingcommunity Here’s a #queryingtip for you: with the rare exception, I start to get hives at anything over 100K words. When it hits 120K, I have a full outbreak. By 130K, regardless of genre, it’s a hard no.

Here’s a doc that might help you cut words:

Tavern is a high fantasy novel where magic is everywhere and no one's really human. Follow Xel, an orc tavern owner and spymaster, as he and his group of misfits protects his city from an Archmage who is in love with the Duchess. #DVPit #F #2025Pit

I'm in that kind of mood where you do the online IQ test. The last step was to give them my email. I didn't do it, so obviously I outsmarted them. But now I'll never get my results so I'll never know.

Fun thing about query tracker is that it gives me an additional platform to obsess over (even though it auto-generates emails)

Please help me find a recent upper-MG comp to Pullman's Northern Lights / The Golden Compass.

Preferably not portal magic or magic academy tropes.

Bonus points if it centres the daemon / mythical creature instead of a child protagonist.

yesterday I wrote the first 500 words of my next project.

today I woke to the realisation that there's a significant plot hole and the set up is entirely derivative.

2025 is off to a great start.
