People shouldn't fear diversity. Not just of race and sexuality though, but of education, skillset, personality type, ambition, financial leverage, cultural taste, sense of humour. Aspiring to monoculture is to waste the richness of life.

Hello NYC! London here! Nine years into a lefty Muslim mayor (I happily voted for him every fucking time!). I came home happily drunk and unburka-ed on the tube the other night, and my asthmatic husband had not had to use a daily inhaler for years because of the vastly improved air quality. Enjoy!

Watching #ncfc on Sky, Carrow Road sounds pretty dead. Used to think with every defeat “they must sack Manning now”, but given Attanasio’s stance in the week, feels like they’re going to stick with him whatever (or at least until it’s too late), so everyone’s given up hope. Bleak.

fundamentally the problem is that if you think "hotels are where I stay on holiday and I like being on holiday so living in a hotel must be fun and it's not fair others get to do it and not me" then you have the intellectual reasoning of a little child and it's going to be hard to engage with you
