Me too, having seen Bristol City away last season, utterly nondescript (beat us largely due to George Long having a nightmare first half). Underwhelmed from day one.

Horribly true

Imagine keeping your job if you were utterly shit at it.

I do not know what it will take. Utterly bleak.

I hear you. When I’m just averagely unhappy I pile on the weight through comfort eating, when I’m proper stressed it drops off me. Hope next week is a better one.

Mexican stand-off at the top which is leaving them all unable to act. Very little time for any of the bland wankers!

Better to talk Radiohead…music doesn’t let you down like your football team does. Bleak.

Ha, I’m not. 7 straight defeats, zero points at home…

Not watching, can’t bear it. Like a nightmare.

We can only dream of having some pride. #ncfc

The dream.

Legend.

Look fab! But almost up to your bra too.
November 4, 2025 at 7:12 PM
I’ve had high-waisted wide-legged jeans for a while and because I’m so short-waisted they basically come up to my bra.

They’ve got ‘em in Uniqlo. Think they’re rather fetching.
November 4, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Just bought my son a new pair for his birthday (Uniqlo wide leg in brown, if you’re asking). I could have hidden in one of the legs and you wouldn’t notice. They looked good though. Husband’s slim fits now looking very last decade.

I’ve always wondered when was the last time I picked up my son (now a foot taller than me). We’re moving into yet another phase as he graduates next year, so another host of “lasts” are heading our way.
November 4, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Indeed!
November 2, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Not at all, what I take issue with is your statement that “The problem with society today is older people”. That is ageism, just as if you’d said “black people”, I would call it racism. Hopefully as you get older yourself you will gain some awareness of this issue, as I have done.
November 2, 2025 at 10:40 AM
Ish. But the fact remains that it would be utterly unthinkable to publicly say what you said about Muslims or gay people. I work for an older people’s charity and am ashamed that it’s only now I am 60 myself that I really notice these acts of casual ageism. I am determined to call them out.
