My lord. My timeline right now. It's only 4:20 in the afternoon here. I don't have the excuse of needing to sleep. I'm afraid to scroll down and find out what everyone is talking about in very careful words. Maybe it *is* bedtime in Okinawa. Or cocktail hour....

Not sure what is most remarkable about this pitch. That it's based on a book that is only half written, or the fact that they're riffing on a placeholder blurb-1 para that really doesn't say much about the plot. They got all this from a 45 word blurb! For some reason I don't think they're sincere??

NEW VIDEO! Investigating Elon Musk's very weird claims (based off of no evidence) about the Fall of Rome and birth rates led me down a very strange rabbit hole that shows how his catastrophic view of history informs the decisions he makes

Okinawa in November is really quite glorious weather-wise. Summer was suffering horrible miserable heat but today was perfect. I didn’t know this was possible in my birth month.

Our kids (who live in US) will visit Okinawa for the 1st time this Dec. Daughter ordered an Xmas present for son from a UK vendor & shipped directly to our home address to avoid tariffs. It just arrived. We've only done a few tests of outside-Japan shipping, so it's always a relief when it works.

I warned that private equity taking over Walgreens would be bad for workers.

This is the private equity playbook: they hollow out businesses, cheat their workers, and drive them into the ground.

Red Lobster, Toys "R" Us, and Joann Fabrics. Who’s next?
Report: Walgreens cuts hourly workers’ pay for 6 major holidays
The hourly employees will only be paid if they work on those holidays.

Another comment worth sharing (one of many really) from my latest video. This one really emphasizes the impacts of both the doomsday aspect of fake archaeology AND the importance of revealing it to the public

Thanks to all who have bravely spoken up and shared their journey

Trump and Republicans refuse to extend ACA tax credits, meaning that millions of Americans will see their premiums skyrocket next year.

I’ve got a solution: let’s get rid of premiums altogether and pass Medicare for All!

Yesterday (Sunday) was my husband's last day off after a 6 week furlough. We went snorkeling off the Kadena N Seawall steps, where the Hija River meets the East China Sea. This area--Toguchi Beach and the mouth of the river--is where US forces landed on Okinawa 80 years ago.

This idea that #metoo was a temporary piece of insanity that happened because America was too woke...

Fuck you. It was a temporary moment in time when people decided, for the first time, that 20 women were finally equal to one man.

Incandescent with rage. CBS News is dead and these people have no soul to go along with this framing.
What if... hear me out, I know this is wild... but what if we cared about children being raped and holding people accountable? What if we actually wanted to protect children from predators.
Margaret Brennan to Tom Suozzi: "Can you explain the focus this past week in the House by Democrats on the Jeffrey Epstein files? Is this a tactic to distract from the failure to extract healthcare changes?"

Rudy Bridges is younger than the Sitting President of the United States and 29 sitting United States Senators
It’s useful for people of my generation to be reminded that this wasn’t that long ago. Ruby Bridges isn’t just still alive—she’s only 71, not ancient!
65 years ago on Nov. 14, little Ruby Bridges was escorted into an all-white elementary school in New Orleans. Norman Rockwell, renowned for blissful depictions of Americana, did this remarkable painting for Look magazine. Printed as a double page, over-size spread, it's his masterpiece.

This thread is hilarious. Also, when we first moved to Okinawa, I bought Japanese ketchup because I wanted to try local brands. When that bottle ran out, with my husband's strong agreement, I picked this up from the local grocery store and promised never to stray again.

Where are the follow up questions?
"So you're saying you want to have sex with a 15yo child, or are you saying you *have* had sex with 15yo child?"
Followed by: "Also, you'd be fine with your 14yo daughter having sex with Epstein or his friends or do you think she should she wait until she's 15?"
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

I don't think legacy media is reading the room correctly on the Epstein Files. Many of us are asking why they have ignored this story for the last decade? Why did they dismiss all of us who were concerned that Trump might be compromised? And where is their fucking contrition and apology now?

My god (sorry I’m late on a bunch of this stuff. But wow!)

According to this NYT report, the head of the FBI and the Attorney General are holding meetings *in the Situation Room* with GOP lawmakers they are trying to pressure to rescind their votes to release the Epstein info. This is madness.

To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015

What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?
