Somebody seems to have maybe written me in for my divisions majority inspector of elections. I’m puzzled why someone would bother and also really curious as to who it could be. I wish they’d told me!!!

Guy “warning” me there may be people in the Epstein files I find myself disappointed with. Ok? Like yeah, I’d rather be disappointed in a politician I thought was a decent human than go around supporting a rapist, cause that’s what all these guys are, especially someone who SAs a child

Today I am being fascinated by hormones. I’ve noticed I’m much bolder and blunter as I grow through middle age, and read an article about how estrogen levels can affect that. Then was having an unrelated conversation with a trans woman and found out they have a menstrual cycle from estrogen.

One thing that’s so frustrating living in a city center is the pervasive belief among suburbanites that your neighborhood is nothing more than a consumer experience for them and that the city should bend over backwards to ensure they can speed as fast as possible on their way to buy treats in it.

“Short bursts indicate an ICE sighting. Long whistles indicate agents making arrests. If you hear the whistle and you’re undocumented, said [Whitney Hu, a community activist and organizer with South Brooklyn Mutual Aid], ‘you hide. And if you’re somebody who’s not, you go to the street.’”
As ICE Street Raids Ramp Up, New Yorkers Stock Up On Whistles
Taking a cue from Chicago, community groups have distributed thousands of whistles in recent weeks — a grassroots system people in other cities have adopted to help neighbors sound the alarm.

A party that couldn't endorse Mamdani. . . has room for Marjorie Taylor Greene

The party can burn in hell
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

We could say Trump broke our media, but what actually happened is our media broke itself for Trump. They had some standards and thought if they held to them against him, he would disappear. When he didn't disappear, they questioned the standards and then changed them to accommodate his supporters.

She is not, she is sorry it’s being directed at her. She is EXACTLY who we think she is and she will use the same tactics again if she thinks it suits her. She is a schoolyard bully
Marjorie Taylor Greene tells CNN: "I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics."

Has she been visited by the Ghost of Xmas future, who put a bat up her nightdress?

MTG is pathologically incapable of sincerity. If you think she sounds sincere right now, that's because she understands that it's politically expedient for her to appear introspective and contrite at present.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

spoke with the executive director of my local food bank today and got this really incredible line: "if you donate 1 can of green beans, we can give away 1 can of green beans. but if you donate a dollar, we can give away 6 cans of green beans"

Yes. We need to end the mythology that having a job equals enough money to live.

Affordability was already an emergency before Republicans voted to raise the cost of healthcare for millions, and eliminate it for millions more.
Yes, the cashier on their feet full-time should be able to afford rent, groceries, and healthcare with their paycheck.

And the custodian. And the fry cook. And the waitress. And and and.

Septa is genuinely the worst organization the entire world for customer service. Literally nobody knows in sales or the information desk knows anything about anything and that is intentional.
