RFA Proteus working away in the Irish Sea again today.

Around this time last year, RFA Proteus was shadowing Yantar while it lingered over cables and vitally important gas interconnectors in the Irish Sea, in some not so subtle signalling.

(To be clear, I don't know where Yantar is right now...)

Interesting recent episodes of @restisclassified.bsky.social podcast on Crypto AG.

I remember being amazed that Crypto AG was still in business in the 2000's as there appeared to be open & widely reported suspicion of them since at least the 1980s.

The Dutch navy has escorted the Russian 'research' vessel Yantar out of the Dutch Exclusive Economic Zone in the North Sea last Tuesday, the defence ministry said. A Dutch research vessel, HNLMS Snellius, was tasked with checking the state of seabed infrastructure in the areas where Yantar sailed.

Teriberka (& Sabetta) have departed Pankovo/Gribovaya Bay, possibly for the final time this year - first visit was early June.

Fwiw, it appears the last obvious instance of RF interference from Pankovo on Sentinel 1 SAR, was on the day of the test - October 21st.

President Trump's interview on 60 Minutes did very little to clarify his stance on the United States resuming full-scale nuclear tests for the first time in more than three decades. Let's look at some of his statements. 1/11

My apologies - I hadn't had enough coffee!

RZK Constanta is actually in Belushya Guba - it left Severny on 28 October, same day Yauza arrived in Severny.

It is Teriberka & (possibly) Sabetta in Gribovaya Bay.

I say "possibly" as Sabetta seems more reluctant to use AIS.

Sentinel 1 SAR from today.

Yauza is leaving Severny this morning, after arriving on 28 October.

RZK Constanta and (possibly) Sabetta remain at Gribovaya Bay.

Rossita remains at Gremikha.

The monitoring vessels are mostly in, or entering the White Sea, however Petrogradskiy is already back in Arkhangelsk.
The vessels involved in monitoring Burevestnik tests, appear to be departing Matochkin Shar en masse this morning.

Some "Mission Accomplished" choreography.

But it's not entirely wrapped up yet; as the continued presence of RZK Constanta, Yauza and Teriberka attests.

The U.S. has not conducted a nuclear test in over 30 years. Experts say doing one now could make America less safe.

If actual nuclear testing resumes, China is set to gain the most.
If any one of the "big three", US, Russia and China, tests, I think the other two will follow.

The US triggering a new era of live testing would be a mistake, regardless of which admin that makes such a stumble.

1/n - Trump says something about nuclear weapons tests...It’s hard to know what he means. As usual, he’s unclear, all over the map, and wrong.

1. The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country.

Wrong. Russia has more nuclear weapons than the United States.

Caveat: Preliminary findings.

On October 28th, when the Poseidon test was conducted according to Putin, there were 6 unidentified ships off the eastern coast of Novaya Zemlya, Kara Sea.

No NOTAM, no PRIP, but well off the path for any civilian traffic.
