Looks like it was a good trip!

RFA Proteus has stopped within the Irish EEZ, relatively close to where some of the fun happened a year ago.

It's currently a little less than 1NM away from the gas interconnector.

Hopefully just a training ex rather than a full blown replay of last year.

Rossita didn't go north from Gremikha, which I had kind of been anticipating - last AIS ping just outside Murmansk.

Yauza's last ping; Belushya Guba.

Monitoring vessels Petrogradskiy & Vyborgskiy made pitstops in Arkhangelsk (possibly unloading gear?) & are now headed to Murmansk.

Tavr & Pomor are currently in port in Arkhangelsk, with RZK Constanta not far away.

The others remain in the White Sea, perhaps awaiting their turn.

Hm, how close? If someone was bored and goofing around with a HackRF One (for example), output power is only 30mW, so very, very, limited range.

But this is highly speculative - and there are more likely potential scenarios; this could probably be ruled out in an instant with station logs.

That's interesting! Thank you

Were they all at the same time, or over say 5-10 minutes?
If they all got injected at pretty much the same instant, then yes, we could rule out RF. If it was a longer duration - say 10 minutes, RF becomes more possible - but yes, it would require someone in the area of receiver.

It would be great to see some follow up by the ground station owner to understand if someone injected the false position reports by RF transmission or not.

My apologies - I hadn't had enough coffee!

RZK Constanta is actually in Belushya Guba - it left Severny on 28 October, same day Yauza arrived in Severny.

It is Teriberka & (possibly) Sabetta in Gribovaya Bay.

I say "possibly" as Sabetta seems more reluctant to use AIS.
