If only there were some kind of system whereby we could rely not on the good will of the superwealthy but instead make them pay a set percentage of their income and wealth to a central government that could distribute that wealth.

We could call it taxation.

And with the consumer economy focused on catering to the very wealthy, big corporations don't care if people are left out of the economy entirely
