If you ever see me posting any takes on here that aren’t about neuropsychiatry or sexual health (and even in those cases) know that I likely am getting or recovering from a migraine and that (1) stops me from doing something else with my time (2) makes me perseverative and punchy with posting

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

As a clinician / educator in one of the few fields where the distinction between hebephilia, ehebephilia, and pedophilia may actually be rarely pertinent - “actually it’s not pedophilia!” is not a winning moral argument when it’s still child sex abuse. Hopes this helps!
