We're in federal court today challenging President Trump's illegal use of the Alien Enemies Act to send Venezuelans to a brutal El Salvador prison with no due process.

Everyone deserves their day in court. This administration's actions are cruel and unlawful.

As someone who does graphic design, this is one of the most visually striking political campaigns I've ever seen. Never underestimate the power of art to move people
In particular Aneesh Bhoopathy, from the design coop Forge, who designed the identity. A brilliant reminder to *employ human creatives!*

It seems the pendulum is finally swinging back.

Population in most parts of Ohio is declining. Two ways to encourage population growth (and therefore employment opportunity) are to support (im)migration to Ohio, and to support Work From Home, where possible, because it promotes birth rates.
The option to work from home has been shown to increase birth rates. It’s one of the only policies that has been successful in doing so.

Family size around the world is dropping. That choice by couples is triggering a population shift that's sending shock waves through economies.

One overlooked risk of skyrocketing ACA premiums is the massive threat it poses to small businesses across the nation.

One expert told me small businesses are in “panic mode.”

Why?

Murdering people in international waters is a test of military loyalty and a violation of international law. Is there an international outcry to these crimes? Because if the military won’t stand down, we’re gonna need international pressure to stop him.
He murders people in intl waters w/o due process or evidence. He demolishes our East Wing because he feels like it w/o consultation. He fuels an abusive police state to grab people off the street w/o due process. Meanwhile, billionaires & corporations keep handing him millions. They are complicit.

I used to think I was wise, at least somewhat, or at least I aspired to be. I don’t know if it’s imposter syndrome, or dunning-kruger, or humility, or lack of ability, or confidence, or TBI, or the crushing weight of it all, or temporary or not, but I just don’t have as much to say anymore.

Very smart thread from my friend>>
In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

I really need people to understand that refusing to seat fascists is an antifascist act that protects democracy & is not the same as fascists refusing to seat antifascists to destroy democracy—in the same way that finding a guilty person guilty isn't the same as finding an innocent person guilty.

BREAKING: A federal judge has temporarily blocked President Trump from deploying federalized National Guard troops into Chicago.

This ruling reinforces what we already knew: It is illegal for the president to use manufactured emergencies to send soldiers into our cities.
