cis people on the skyline are genuinely more distressed by karoline leavitt’s lip fillers than the fact that congress just said, “what we should do is put any doctor or pharmacist in prison who gives lifesaving medical care to this specific kind of child we find gross.”
Bluesky tonight is neatly divided between trans people and family members appropriately angry and freaking out and everyone else who has barely noticed.

it is terrifying and awful that this passed the House with any Dem support at all (and once again, the continued leadership support for Cuellar is unconscionable)

call your senators and make absolutely sure this dies in the Senate, lives are on the line

trans people deserve so much better
Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.

Charging doctors is also how abortion criminalization started. If they succeed in criminalizing doctors who provide transition care to minors they’ll eventually criminalize the parents & children seeking it too

So Trump is just giving away another $2.6 billion in taxpayer money for “bonuses” that was not appropriated for that purpose by our duly elected representatives in Congress, while we are $38 trillion in debt.

We wanted to express our gratitude to the brave, patriotic people who are video-taping and posting the disgusting crimes that Trump’s masked goons commit every day on American streets.

History will not remember them kindly.

Republicans failed to flip any legislative seats this year, losing ground even in New Jersey, where they had high hopes, and failing to gain several districts that Trump carried last year.

Democrats, meanwhile, flipped 25 seats.
In 2025, Democrats Flipped 21 Percent of GOP-Held Legislative Seats
The party secured strong gains reminiscent of 2017, our annual review of state legislative results shows. They won multiple new seats in New Jersey, Virginia, Iowa, and Mississippi.

The reason folks are focusing on DHS's refusal to honor Real IDs is that it means that the Trump regime is asserting the right to detain anyone in America, resident or visitor, without probable cause. It's an erasure of habeas corpus for all Americans.

Add to this that HSI just filed a declaration in our case challenging these policies saying they can’t trust REAL IDs as proof of status.

So showing your papers isn’t even enough to end the stop.

In 1993, Trump signed mortgages for 2 homes in Florida, claiming each as his principal residence.
He does not appear to have ever lived in either, let alone used them as a principal residence. They were investment properties & rented out.
Yet he accuses others of fraud?

Donald Trump just ended a rule that required airlines to compensate you for delayed or canceled flights.

Why?

Maybe because the airlines donated big bucks to Trump. Or maybe because the Secretary of Transportation used to be an airline lobbyist.

Either way, you lose.
