HAPPENING NOW: In federal court in MN, DOJ is struggling to articulate why a person following an ICE vehicle — so long as they are obeying traffic laws — can be stopped for "reasonable suspicion" of a crime.

It took decades of work by the abolition movement & many many many different strategies to convince people to support it. Abolition ideology actually got more radical as it got more popular. Support radical politics even as we accept moderate incremental wins. Abolish ICE

A 19yo Christian man lit Congregation Beth Israel on fire in Jackson, Mississippi. He called it the "synagogue of Satan." This same synagogue was one of 8 targeted in the Civil Rights Mvmt. The erasure of American antisemitism continues to harm us.

The govt is killing people in the street on whims (more than usual) and the murderers wind face any punishment and we have no recourse. They don’t need popularity. The impact is fascist martial law without popularity
They don’t have the juice or manpower for it. This is not late 1930s Germany. There is no state monopoly on media. They are wildly unpopular.

If you want to create a real problem for DHS, protest at their facilities in industrial and/or rural areas. They have limited resources. Being forced to defend their buildings drains them.

Violence should never be assumed to be legitimate simply because it’s been committed by the state. But with undertrained and unrestrained ICE agents our already violent state is getting even worse

It’s also important to emphasize that the victim is a US citizen to show that violent policing harms all of us & when we say our liberation is bound together we mean it. Additionally use everything we can to undermine the justification of ICE
i think it is ok to reiterate that the victim as a us citizen. yes, noncitizens are equally entitled to human rights. but also, it's important to illustrate how ice isn't about immigration at all

Growing up, my parents taught me and my sisters that white folks who stand up against white supremacy and domination are always, always, ALWAYS punished and killed alongside the targets of white supremacist domination... this is yet another facet of its violence, and how/why white supremacy endures.

I’m not a nationalist but it’s interesting that two major instances of not punishing traitors sufficiently (post civil war and post J6) are likely two of the biggest causes of the current moment & support for white Christian supremacist movements
