Finally made it to the last episode of ER. Between work, sleep, cleaning, house maintenance, car maintenance, sick kids, arguments, other shows, movies…it only took a year.

Earlier this year I was shook and very worried about an upcoming surgery. I read too many stories online, researched all of the best pre and post op care. The only thing that set me straight was my goofy uncles words: “Look at it this way, you ain’t the first one to have this done.” Anxiety healed.

We are losing something by having newsrooms where everyone who has more than a few years’ experience has gotten fired. I don’t fault a young writer for not knowing about things that happened before she was born. But now there are no editors to help give context to these stories, either.
