I feel like I just found a gold nugget! During my daily streetview ambling I just now discovered a 1925 apartment building designed by RM Schindler that was thought to have been demolished for the 101 freeway. But it wasn’t! It was *moved.* (first screenshot is from US Modernist)

I'm sorry, but Restler, Botcher, Powers, and Hanif all voted yes.
The vibes for people who actually want housing in NYC are good. Sucks to suck if you're a NIMBY!!!!

Tomorrow is Election Day. I hope you'll vote for proposals 2-6.
If you'll indulge me, a quick run-down of the remarkable coalition of supporters: Starting with the editorial boards of the Daily News, Post, and Crain's, and though the Times has declined to weigh in, Mara Gay.

Short explanation of what the deal is with "affordability" in the housing ballot proposals, since people have lots of questions - mainly stemming from the fact that our existing system is so complicated to begin with! (Explanation first, some personal commentary after)

Very cool* how Councilmembers are weaponizing 130% AMI units that come from 421-a to stop proposals for city-financed deeply affordable housing, or MIH levels (avg 60% AMI = $2187 for a two-bed).

I voted YES on all 6 ballot proposals. I support 2-5 and encourage other New Yorkers to vote for them as well, so that we can build more housing and stop conservative councilmembers like Vickie Paladino and Darlene Mealy from blocking developments in their districts.

I often complain about historic preservation orgs in NYC, but the Municipal Art Society is truly a rare bright spot in an otherwise broken field. They were strong supporters of City of Yes and SO PLEASED to see an endorsement of Questions 2,3&4 on this years ballot

And vote Yes on Ballot Props 1-6!!!!
A very good reason to vote early for @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is so that the campaign doesn’t have to spend time canvassing you and can focus its GOTV efforts on others and run up the tally. Let’s goooo! Get out there this weekend and vote!

Happy Halloween? WTF is @council.nyc.gov wasting my money on....
Ballot Proposals 2, 3, and 4 would BUILD AFFORDABLE HOUSING. How is that related to duct taping someone's mouth shut?

Why is the @council.nyc.gov wasting my tax payer dollars when I'm trying to waste time on my lunch break. I'm gonna vote Yes on 2-6 because I want a city that people can afford and actually builds affordable housing for people!

Great piece from @errollouis.bsky.social about how important a yes vote on ballot questions 2, 3, 4, 5 is to NYC’s ability to take on our affordability crisis.
You’ll see obfuscation and name-calling, but no solutions from those who say the current system is just fine.
