Wait, Ben Mulroney is the fucking keynote speaker at the Saskatchewan Party convention today?

He’s giving a keynote talk on ‘reinvention’ right before Scott Moe’s leadership review.

How is this even allowed @globalnews.ca?

This is quite the listen. Carney has commit just 900,000 to 10/day and 5 million to universal dental and a fucking billion to AI. A total fuck you to every progressive that bought the Elbows up Rhetoric. They even canned the yacht tax to appease the billionaires.

David Cochrane knows enough about economics to lob up the spin of business leaders in a “very serious” way, but not enough about political economy to ask questions that are in any way relevant to people, their lives, or their jobs.

Idk is telling the general public that this budget is going to make them suffer a smart idea?

All the liberal pundits seem to think so and I get the sense none of them will suffer or know what suffering means.

Shouldn’t “you won’t suffer” be a bare minimum for a budget?

Canada released its white paper on digital sovereignty, highlighting a contradiction in the government’s new plan: Canada wants to secure its data, systems and infrastructure, even as it relies heavily on U.S. tech giants to keep its government running.

This is why solidarity amongst shared struggles is so important. Ppl may not care when notwithstanding clause is used against trans kids(they should), but governments like Smith’s won’t stop there.

Also why AB, SK, and ON trying to prevent court access when NWC is used should concern all.

The legislation is supposed to embargoed until tabled, but if this is accurate…

Smith is invoking the notwithstanding clause to force teachers back to work.

Which is an admission that she is violating charter rights.

It is a dark day in Alberta.

Honestly I hate this kind of news. Total waste of limited resources. Just horse race journalism and to me showcases CBCs increasing focus on political strategy as the be all and end all.

“Was that smart? Was it a mistake?”
