I directed a feature once and continue fighting to do it again.
My favorite Criterions are old, out of print DVD Criterions.

Some days I get down on LA but then you go to a screening of Back to the Future inside one of the original filming locations and suddenly you realize how fucking great this city is.

Pretty solid week of old LA movies, the struggle between the old and new, and high-octane pop songs about depression. It’s been a journey.

Hey remember when Blofeld was straight killed at the start of For Your Eyes Only in 1981 only to reappear as a different guy with a whole different story in 2015? Yeah, just do that.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Relating to Spider-Man at 19: I too am underemployed, unsure how to pursue girls, and trying to find my place in the adult world.

Relating to Galactus at 42: I am from an unrecognizable previous millennium, hungry all the time, everything hurts and I live with a tiny person who won’t do what I ask.

For the life of me I couldn’t remember the right sequence for Grocery Outlet Bargain Market until I realized the initials are GO BM.

Now it’s the “Go Poop” store and I will never forget it.

"Like most, I eat pizza every single day. I’m too busy to sit down and eat it as a meal, so into my pockets it goes, even if that means my car keys are always covered in tomato sauce, my wallet is filled with pepperoni, and my iPhone’s charging port is clogged with mozzarella."
Reviews of New Food: Little Caesars’ Crazy Puffs
As we all know, the worst part about eating pizza is how the cheese gets stuck to the insides of your pockets. I can’t tell you how many good pairs...

I found an old script that just needed a quick fix to get back in shape. So anyway, it’s day four and I’m still finding new ways to sharpen the dang thing.

More fun than it seems. #writing

The first thing I saw Idris Elba in was The Office so even now, every time I see him in something, I’m like “oh hey, that’s the nerd who gave Jim a hard time”.

Forget Stringer Bell, the man is forever Charles Miner
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”

A real grab bag of Halloween treats this week and it’s not even everything. I also showed the kid Frankenweenie (bleh) and didn’t show her Scream (5).

Not a bad way to end spooky season. #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

In anticipation of Halloween, what better way to celebrate than indulging in some seasonal appropriate minimate (RIP DST) pics.

Almost every major news story this week is about how the entire economy is now gambling, scams, bribes and theft.

Eating good this week, cutting my traditional spooky diet with a couple of timeless classics, a timely musical, and a movie about time (but not About Time).

Honestly, I wasn't at all excited to watch 'Welcome to Derry', but reading about the truly nutso overarching plot has ignited a lot of interest in me.

More shows should be taking daring, weird chances with their concepts, we'd be better off for it.
"It: Welcome to Derry" is overflowing with major shortcomings, but none are quite as great as its central plot's sheer, unbridled asininity.

You mean to tell me the Bride of Frankenstein has less than ten minutes screen time in all those classic universal horror movies and still had that kind of cultural impact? She might be the most impressive film character of all time.

I know everyone is (rightfully) focused on the No Kings protest, but I also want to show off the wild spread of DVDs I picked up today at Vidiots’ International Video Store Day Sale.

I read about this clip and it is 1000% wilder than I expected. What a dunce.

I'll tell you, I'd be less anti-Ai if it was actually being presented as a helpful tool if I want it instead of this all-encompassing lifestyle that I must embrace.

Shit sucks and I hope all those companies go bankrupt tomorrow.

My PS3, after a glorious 16 years, has died. She’s been a workhorse and worked longer than she needed to.

I’ll be accepting condolences and old DVDs on her behalf while we plan her Viking funeral.

Please keep our physical media needs in your thoughts and prayers.
