the reason people sometimes act madder at democrats than republicans when republicans do impossibly evil shit is the same reason why, if you hired an exterminator to handle a roach infestation and he showed up to feed and play with them instead, your first instinct wouldn’t be to yell at the roaches

My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

it's crazy that 500 years ago, you would see the ruler of your country maybe once in your life and hear whispers that they're the Sun God, but now with social media, you get to see on a daily basis that they're the most unhinged, idiotic, and unhappy person you know

"Ugh...why did I get taught this thing I'm never gonna use?" feels like peak Rugged Individualism to me. You were in a class of probably thirty kids, working to a curriculum used by thousands more - did you think the lessons would be tailored to you alone and your then-unknowable future?

Multiple studies have shown it's incredibly advantageous to be bilingual at an early age.

Maybe this is what reform want? A generation of knuckle dragging morons, marching inexorably to the polls to scratch their moniker onto a polling card, voting for an equally stupid, shiny suited spotty teen.

I feel bad for Pirelli really. F1 leans on them really hard to be the saviours of racing and provide the main variable that can mix up the racing and Pirelli do just as they're told, within what's really possible with 6 different tyres for 24 tracks and climates.
