The BBC is so much more than its news output. Do people who want it defunded realise what they're going to lose? TV drama, radio comedy, so much educational kids content!

Controversial take, perhaps, but for all the political interfering and all its faults, the BBC is a positive institution. Like the NHS, it's a remnant of socialism in an increasingly capitalist hellscape. This is why the right on both sides of the pond are coming for it. It needs support.

Ran out of Sharpe to watch. Onto Hornblower. I have become parody of myself. And enjoy men in Napoleonic uniform.

I'm a complete misery who hates fireworks, and I agree. It's safer, it's controlled, and if I'm feeling brave I can put earplugs in and go and see a display with my friends and eat candyfloss at the same time.
I like fireworks but they shouldn't be sold to the general public. Obviously some twat's going to lob one at a paramedic. Garden fireworks are always shit anyway. Go and give the rotary club a fiver and watch a good display in a field with a candyfloss machine and a tombola.

I lost the framed original of this while I was going through St Pancras on Sunday Nov 2nd around 3pm. Would love if it had been found by anyone?

I try really hard not to whinge about teenagers in public places, because it's hard being that age and there's nowhere for them to hang out. But if these teenagers on the train could stop literally screeching at each other (once directly in my ear!) and taking up seats with bags, that'd be great!

Important clients coming to the office today, so I've made an effort to look like a real human person and not the internet dwelling gremlin I am in reality.

Spending my day off as god intended: watching Sharpe in my pyjamas, under a blanket.

Anyone who claims London is dangerous and unfriendly is a fucking liar. My friend left her phone on the tube. I rang it and a lovely woman answered and said she was leaving it at the tube stop. And she did! And my friend has been reunited!

Parents, please check your kids’ candy this Halloween. I just found this puzzle box inside a Terry’s chocolate orange, played with it for a moment, and a gang of black-clad, heavily pierced extra-dimensional beings showed up saying they have such sights to show me. Be safe.

I watched this last week and it's REALLY, REALLY good. If it's on catch up, you should definitely watch it this weekend.
Late Night with the Devil is on Film4 tonight at 9pm, where a talk show host (the perfectly cast David Dastmalchian) hosts a supernatural Halloween special and - YES I’M SAYING IT - all hell breaks loose. Heavy GhostWatch vibes and who doesn’t want that

Listening to the Escape from New York soundtrack while I work and now I feel like I just want to plan a heist. Or make out with Snake Plissken. Or both?

My youngest cousin is a year older than my eldest nibling. I am "Auntie Talia" to all of my cousins and niblings, becsuse it's just easier when they're all small if they can all call you the same thing.

Genuinely one of the best games I've played in the last few years. Highly recommend.
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow is a blood-curdling 55% off in the Steam Halloween sale!
A perfect time to play our folk horror adventure game inspired by movies such as The Wicker Man & the works of M.R. James, with a little pinch of Twin Peaks and Lovecraft.

The Rose Field (Book of Dust 3) is SO good, and impossible to read on my lunchbreak because I don't ever want to stop and go back to work.

Sometimes the only way to get through the day is to wear a little black (velvet) dress, too much eyeliner and 10 year old lipstick.

Went to see Deliver Me From Nowhere. Cried absolute buckets. It's really good. Jeremy Allan White sounds really like Springsteen. Stephen Graham is fantastic. In retrospect however, not a film to see with my dad.
