Yesterday, Spc Sarah Becstrom was laid to rest in West Virginia at a VA National Cemetery.
Surprisingly none of the major major news media mention it. No flags were lower to half staff.

Just sitting here musing on the sad state of effective mental health care as my adult son attacks the staff at his group home one day and forgets he did it the next. He's had therapies for 20 years. Nothing changes. Nothing helps.

If the Sep. 2 boat really had "narco-terrorists" on board, questioning the survivors would have been a way to learn about how the organization worked, where more drugs were stashed, etc. But this isn't a counter-terrorism campaign. It's a shooting gallery with helpless targets.
