One party is openly embracing white supremacy and fascism.
The other is full of spineless cowards handing our lunch money to the bully before he even demands it.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.
A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.
When will party leadership learn this lesson?

Exactly right. Why should we respect a president who doesn’t respect the constitution he swore an oath to uphold?

The establishment democrats have repeatedly shown they do not have the wherewithal to repel the fascist onslaught of Trump and the oligarchs.
They helped get us into this mess, one cowardly capitulation at a time.
They are not the ones to lead us out of it.

In short, democrats got nothing for their betrayal. Zilch. All they did was send working class Americans into a rage-filled tailspin.
And now, even when republicans hold firm and millions lose their healthcare, people will be hard pressed to rally behind a feckless democratic leadership.

"Republicans were unlikely ever to give in on the tax credits, because their ideological opposition to universal health care is so overwhelming that they would rather suffer defeat than surrender. But that is just the thing: They were taking the hit."
"Democrats could have held the line on the shutdown, and spent weeks watching Trump’s approval ratings fall," writes @jonathanbchait.bsky.social

I hope none of the Dem senators who caved are thinking about running for reelection.

While Trump and Republicans inflict pain on people, Democrats’ most important job is to fight back.

We have one party that will literally do anything to stay in power and another party whose leadership won't even fight.
Dems - pass the baton.
Lead, follow, or get the fuck out of the way.
