2 months ago, his company proposed eliminating all local meteorologists.

Today, his team’s coverage is saving lives.

Local meteorologists (TV and NWS) need your support right now. Be vocal.
How do I prep for our severe weather season? Watch early season outbreaks in the south and think about what I need to do to cover it.

Since I can’t be the only one who didn’t realize this: law review articles aren’t peer reviewed.
This is not the only cause, but the lack of peer review surely plays a huge role here.

A 2L editor w no training in the area of law is likely to see “Berkeley Law Professor” and think “this guy is surely making a good argument!”

Refereeing is def flawed, but blindness + expertise is def BETTER.
i am reading an analysis of john yoo’s work justifying unilateral presidential authority over foreign affairs when he was in the bush OLC, and i am once again struck by shoddy dishonesty of his output! he moves as close as you can to just making stuff up without fully crossing the line.

Congratulations if you felt shortchanged by the other cancer map, you're likely getting a nice piece of the cancer pie as well.
This thread is exactly why I made this map. Data needs context. The map the city made answers an important question: who in the city bears the biggest brunt of highway exposure? But highways are meant for regional transport and the map on the right shows us that we all pay a big price for it.
