In the small part of the world my mind and ears inhabit since I was a teenager, the Huskers were the embodiment of songwriting coolness: thoughtful storytelling, integrity and high speed/noise rock and roll rage. Pushing boundaries and taking no prisoners. Forever faithful.
"To watch #Nirvana and The Offspring and Green Day and #Pixies blow up was crazy. I think it’s great they got paid and went on to have amazing careers, but… It’s like we were professional athletes before all the TV money came in and contracts exploded"

SARS CoV-2 mRNA vaccines cause Turbo cancer….immunotherapy

Yes, they help stimulate innate immunity in those undergoing checkpoint inhibitor therapy to improve outcome

We have TWO papers out in @jcb.org this month! 🎉

First, @kirstin-rollins.bsky.social showed that macrophages nibble adherent target cells, like the ones found in solid tumors, instead of phagocytosing. Amazing movies from @sareenfiaz.bsky.social

Fast evolutionary turnover and overlapping variances of sex-biased gene expression patterns defy a simple binary sex classification of somatic tissues
Sex-biased gene expression in the body organs evolves rapidly, supporting a mosaic model of maleness and femaleness across tissues and thus challenging binary views of sex characteristics in mammals.

Thomas Hunt Morgan was born OTD in 1866.

If you're ever feeling that your work is uending and unedifying, remember that he once said this: "Two years work wasted, I have been breeding those flies for all that time and I've got nothing out of it."

Plus Max Roach’s music (very prominent in the soundtrack of the Soundtrack) is incredible!
Highly recommend the Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat movie to folks teaching international relations and history courses.

It really brings to life the Non Aligned Movement - and connection to US culture and civil rights leaders like Malcolm X.
