Donald Trump says he is going to deploy the National Guard to Chicago. This is what weak men do to pretend they’re strong.

Stay safe, stand with your community, and most importantly, know your rights:

See, this is the problem with cutting the liberal arts. No one appreciates the beauty of the prompt for its own sake.
This is disgusting.

If this is how they treat Alex Padilla, a United States Senator, how do you think they’ll treat you?

Seems bad. SB307 would allow utilities to self-regulate new (likely gas) power plants inside and outside of Arkansas, and charge new rates, without PSC approval. It'll be easier to plan and cancel an out-of-state nuke than build renewables. #arpx #arleg

Power companies would be able to raise your electric bill more easily under new legislation
SB307 removes several protections against rate increases, makes it easier for utilities to pass costs to customers, and neuters regulators' ability to do much about it.

About 500 came out to protest in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

I can imagine if that Trump were to remember just one phrase from a constitutional law professor, it would be "citizenship is Allegiance-for-Protection" -- and he could easily take it even beyond its immediate, horrifying, implications for the children of immigrants.

But perhaps they've been playing a different game. Trump has been a Gemeinschaft patriarch/mob boss his whole life; Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos, etc. are in this regard toddlers.

You'd expect that to claw their way up corporate hierarchies (including as VC-funded founders), they'd have developed their own hypersensitivities to the intentions behind perceived slights and abilities to reward friends and punish enemies.

Win Dan's new book! I've gotten a sneak preview from past conversations with him - it would be fascinating on its own even if it weren't so timely.
