My daughter wrote two letters to Santa that she was very keen on not letting me see but I rescued them from the mailbox.
“Let’s destroy the economy by shutting down air travel.”
Markwayne Mullin: "I agree with what Lindsey is saying on defunding these sanctuary cities. We should pull our TSA agents out of their airports and not allow their airpot to be classified as international or even a regional hub. We should pull all of our aid."

Too late. Cat’s out of the bag. We true New York Cityians can’t get enough the tuna melts (or TMelts, for short)
This article is filled with lies. NYC is not a "tuna melt town" this is not the ultimate NYC sandwich.
In praise of the tuna melt, the ultimate NYC sandwich
Warm fish is so hot right now.

Wow so the thing everyone predicted about them “opening investigations” was correct
Blanche: "Jay Clayton in New York is in charge of any potential investigations ... Congress in their wisdom allowed us to withhold documents if there were ongoing criminal investigations"

I think it should be pretty low-hanging fruit for Dems to demand a bill banning SERVING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS from bringing civil lawsuits against their employer. If you want to sue the government, you can resign first

I’ve been trying to talk about this for years. Probably peak “obvious scam” for me was when the scammers briefly switched to being Native American right when Res Dogs got popular, and they would use the slang from Res Dogs—and 0 other NA words—in their pitches.
It's socially unacceptable to point out on this site that a huge amount of mutual aid requests that get circulated are outright scams.

When Thom Tillis hears the phrase “secret police,” what does he think it means?
Tillis says he opposes ICE being barred from wearing masks: "I've seen people dox me. I've seen people take pictures and identify law enforcement officers and then put their families at risk. So, I think that's a step too far."

You walk into this bar and show your ICE mugshot, you don't pay a dime.
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

Rush Hour 4 is going to go SO over budget
It always rules when a guy gets let out of Director Jail after a decade and immediately starts pissing off everyone on set again
Amazon’s MGM studios spent tens of millions, but the documentary is projected to make just $1M in its first week.

This comes as a new report from Rolling Stone details serious labor issues and two-thirds of the film’s staff requesting not to be credited at the end of the film. trib.al/Clr03cD

I finally got served up some of the @whstancil.bsky.social Nazi AI cartoon series and I am very confused because it makes Will look like the coolest dude alive?

Groyper irony has advanced to the point that it is indistinguishable from idol worship

People were very mad at this post based on the headline, but it is actually a very good and comprehensive indictment of Trump's authoritarianism. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
Yes, It’s Fascism
Until recently, I thought it a term best avoided. But now, the resemblances are too many and too strong to deny.

Totally forgot that the 8th Circuit entered a one-line stay of this ruling and then another person was murdered.
This case is different from Tincher v Noem, before same judge, which is a class action brought by 6 observers who allege they've been unlawfully manhandled in various ways. Menendez issued a TRO there, but Eighth Circuit imposed an administrative stay. Her stayed order below:

You could put out a Top 100 Dead-Eyed Psychos in the Trump Administration list, and people would spend all day arguing on Twitter about deserving dead-eyed psychos who didn't make the cut.

The main things you need to know to understand Joe Lonsdale: His headshot caused a nationwide airbrush ink shortage; he is 5’3”
Lonsdale is a massive dork who is also a fascist, and zeroing out Palantir's contracts is table stakes to be in the running for the next Dem SECDEF
The VCs bros have convinced themselves they are on some moral crusade. They will be behind the scenes trying to cling to power in the midterms and beyond.

Side note, they are also the biggest bunch of dorks

One thing I haven't seen anyone talk about really is the extremely short timeframe between when agents first approached Pretti (he did not approach them—another lie) and when they shot him dead. By my count, about 25 seconds elapsed between when the woman was assaulted by ICE, and the first gunshot

Context: the Trump admin has used administrative leave more than any prior govt.
Raise concerns about DOGE or an appointee for breaking the law? Administrative leave.
How to push huge numbers of employees to resign? Administrative leave.
Shoot someone in broad daylight? Back to work

After Careful Thought, I Have Decided That Our Ship Actually Is Being Attacked by the Kraken

For a long time I resisted the idea that the multiple tentacles tearing at the thin wooden planks of our vessel represented some kind of 'sea monster' threat. But when the facts change, I change my mind.

I’ve never heard of a “law enforcement” agency putting an officer who just killed someone back on the street under 24 hours. And that’s because all shootings are treated as homicides pending investigation. This is as clear a sign as you’ll get that DHS personnel enjoy practical immunity from murder.
CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

If Obama showed up on the streets of MN, my opinion f him would change SO MUCH
Do better. Call your buddy George W. Bush and show up together in Minneapolis.

Don’t just write statements. DO something with your megaphone.
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

They just constantly jump back and forth between "Whoa whoa whoa let's let this investigation play out and not jump to conclusions" and "The man that died was a terrorist and he deserved it"
Q: Was Alex Pretti armed when he was shot?

BOVINO: Um, again, the investigation is going to uncover all those facts

Q: If you are investigating, isn't it possible this was a bad shooting?

BOVINO: I haven't concluded anything
