Proud father, hispanophile, history buff, once-competent bass player, ex-Fordie, pro-European.

Oh, and Janey Godley was right.
Agreed. Farage has always been a fan of an insurance-based healthcare system, so yes, wave goodbye to the NHS as we know it if they get in.

Yup. I have no doubt they'll be looking at rolling back such employment legislation if they ever gain power, under the cover of "we need bigger families", "a woman's patriotic duty" and "less red tape".

Puts himself across as Mr Patriotic, but will sell this country out as soon as he gets the chance, I reckon.

You're right; it'll be hard. But it plays well to the old-fashioned & less sophisticated voters he's chasing.

Farage talking out of his arse once more.

Why am I not surprised?
BREAKING: Nigel Farage calls for an end to working from home and the focus on work-life balance

"People aren't more productive working from home - it's a load of nonsense”

Whatever you do JUST DON’T VOTE REFORM!

Yes, the disconnect between what the USA was supposed to be and how it has turned out is quite something. Especially currently.

I totally agree. Re your last point, you should bear in mind that the terminally dumb folk who say that are blissfully free of the burden of logical thought 😉

Harrods is our own Epstein scandal.

This govt has blocked justice.

And the survivors are furious.

Another thing many underestimate is the sheer rage and the depth of the misinformation they're facing. Much right populism is emotional and psychological, a deep phenomenon which may not be particularly amenable to policy. At its simplest it's a turning outwards of insoluble frustration. (1/3)

Seriously, there are people on here who think a numerical reduction in immigration will reduce Farage’s appeal.

Immigration *never* caused the harms Farage ascribed to it. It was all a xenophobic lie. The actual numbers never mattered.

Seems fair. After all, can't have just anyone entering who might butt in on the corruption, bribery, extortion or, heaven forbid, pedophilia currently enjoyed by certain people in the current US administration.

I am the biggest wimp imaginable when it comes to doctors visits and surgical procedures. I’ve had two precautionary colonoscopies and they are absolutely no big deal.
Reupping this because a colonoscopy is no big deal and anyone over 40 should be talking to their doctor about getting one.

Take care of yourselves, people.
The prep isn't nearly as bad as it used to be, the surgery is the best nap you'll ever have, and the first meal after is a religious experience.

For fuck’s sake … it is long past time the British media ostracised these absolutely deranged clowns.
