Well the Yanks are even fucking stupider than the rest of the world thought if they don't know why. Oil but ultimately money. It's always about the money. Not money the shitkickers will ever benefit from mind. Even the Nazis shared a bit of the stolen wealth with the nation. But these fucks won't.
@maddow.bsky.social: “There are very few Americans right now who have any idea why the United States did this. If this was about drug trafficking then why did President Trump just pardon the former President of Honduras who was convicted of sending hundreds of tons of drugs into the US?”

Remember that time Trump said the U.S. military should use “dangerous” American cities as “training grounds” for troops? What do you think that training was for?

He’s been planning on occupying Venezuela indefinitely.

Venezuela is rich with heavy crude, and oil like that doesn’t extract fast.

Frankly white male Yanks have been dreaming of an insane aggressive cocksucker like Trump for a long time. All those stupid adolescent fantasy movies starring The Duke or Clint or The Rock or some other sad boy's idea of what a man is has ensured this moment would happen. It's time to grow up boys.

My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

Just an aside: American conservatives, Republicans, all trump voters unilaterally support this kind of conquest, imperialism, colonialism, all of that.

they call themselves ‘pragmatic’ and so forth but they’re just bloodthirsty cunts looking for cheap prices no matter the body count.

America's metamorphosis into the Fourth Reich is now complete. We have a homicidal madman as a ruler, & a military that is completely on board with violating all laws at his behest. There's no longer any doubt that when Trump orders our military to storm our streets & kill US that it will obey.

Yes, there is now only one possible escape root from total authoritarianism, it would backfire at first but probably only for a couple of months and then reality would slowly return. These people are not courageous and they will back off.
Of all the competitive authoritarian developments of the past year I think the fall of CBS News is among the most chilling. That this can happen to easily and so quickly freaks me the fuck out.
Nightmarish. CBS News is now running straight state propaganda. They handed Hegseth all three segments and are now tweeting flattering sound bites.

I don’t understand how the first reaction from leadership isn’t “This is an impeachable offense. My colleagues must defund Hegseth and begin drafting articles immediately.”

Like, even if it doesn’t get done, how are you not planting this flag in the ground immediately?
